\u00c5rets Christiekonferanse finner sted 27. april. I \u00e5r \u00e5pner vi opp konferansen slik at alle kan f\u00e5 med seg den digitale sendingen fra Universitetsaulaen helt gratis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Jeg h\u00e5per derfor at du som er ansatt eller student ved UiB har lyst til \u00e5 delta.<\/p>\n

Christiekonferansen er en av Norges viktigste m\u00f8teplasser for akademia og n\u00e6rings-, kultur- og samfunnsliv. \u00c5rets Christiekonferanse er et samarbeid mellom UiB og Norges Handelsh\u00f8yskole (NHH).<\/p>\n

Tema for konferansen er Den nye \u00f8konomien.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Den \u00abnye \u00f8konomien\u00bb f\u00f8rer til mange s\u00e5kalte \u00absuper-star\u00bb-bedrifter. Google er i dag mye mer enn en s\u00f8kemotor, og Amazon er mer enn en nettbokhandel. Kan vi se for oss at n\u00e6rbutikken blir erstattet av en internasjonal superstjerne som leverer alt vi trenger p\u00e5 d\u00f8ren?<\/p>\n

Utviklingen gir oss fantastiske muligheter, potensielt store effektivitetsgevinster, men endrer ogs\u00e5 samfunnet og gj\u00f8r oss mer s\u00e5rbare p\u00e5 en rekke omr\u00e5der.<\/p>\n

Hva gj\u00f8r denne utviklingen med den nordiske samfunnsmodellen? Og hvordan skal vi sikre at skattegrunnlaget for velferdsstaten ikke undergraves, og at v\u00e5re personlige data beskyttes? Gj\u00f8r denne utviklingen oss mer s\u00e5rbare for korrupsjon og svindel?<\/p>\n

Du m\u00f8ter blant annet \u00f8konomiprofessor fra MIT John van Reenen<\/strong>, korrupsjonsjeger Eva Joly<\/strong>, finansminister Jan Tore Sanner<\/strong>, skattedirekt\u00f8r Nina Schanke Funnemark<\/strong> og sjef i \u00d8kokrim P\u00e5l. K L\u00f8nseth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To all students and employees,<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Christie Conference will take place on April 27th. I am pleased to invite you to the conference which will be digital, and participation is free of charge this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I hope you would like to attend, whether you are a student or staff at the University of Bergen.<\/p>\n

The Christie Conference is one of Norway\u2019s most important meeting places for academia and business, culture, and society. We invite guests and participants from business, cultural life, the public sector, and NGOs. This year\u2019s conference is in collaboration with the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).<\/p>\n

Some of the sessions will be held in English, such as the first session with keynote speaker John van Reenen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The theme for the Christie Conference 2021 is \u201cThe New Economy\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u201cnew economy\u201d provides us with a range of so-called \u201csuper-star\u201d companies. Google is more than a search engine, and Amazon is more than an online bookstore. Can we imagine our neighborhood grocery store replaced by a superstar delivering everything we need to our doorsteps? Arguably, this development presents great opportunities and potential efficiency gains, but it also changes society and makes us more vulnerable in certain areas.<\/p>\n

What consequences will this development have for the Nordic Welfare Model? How can we secure the tax revenues of the welfare state in this context, and how can we protect our personal data? Does this development make us more vulnerable to corruption and fraud?<\/p>\n
