Stiftelsen KG Jebsen har annonsert en ny utlysning<\/a> for sentre for medisinsk forskning (s\u00f8knadsfrist 8 mai, kl. 12:00, 2025). Stiftelsen sier at de vil opprette 2 nye sentre i denne runden.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If\u00f8lge stiftelsens bestemmelser f\u00e5r region vest \u2013 UiB og HUS<\/em> sende inn fire s\u00f8knader til stiftelsen. Vi m\u00e5 derfor ha en prekvalifiseringsrunde for \u00e5 velge ut de fire initiativene som inviteres til full s\u00f8knad. I samarbeid med HUS har fakultetet utarbeidet en mal for prekvalifiseringsrunden som skal brukes av alle s\u00f8kere (vedlagt). S\u00f8knadsmalen tar utgangspunkt i de som brukes av stiftelsen (se utlysningen<\/a>). Vi oppfordrer sterkt<\/em> til \u00e5 lese all informasjon som ligger p\u00e5 stiftelsen sine hjemmesider i arbeidet med skissen til prekvalifiseringsrunden, og p\u00e5peker spesielt at utlysningen gjelder translasjonell forskning. I stiftelsens utlysningstekst finner dere mer informasjon om hvordan de definerer \u00abtranslasjonell\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For prosjekter der fakultetet er prosjekteier, og hvor minst 70% av tildelte midler regnskapsf\u00f8rers p\u00e5 fakultetet, bidrar fakultetet med 2 ph.d.-stillinger (2 x 3 \u00e5r).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dette er frister du som s\u00f8ker m\u00e5 forholde deg til i prosessen videre (det enkelte institutt\/avdeling kan ha egne frister i tillegg):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.      10. februar 2025<\/strong>: Koordinator (PI) for s\u00f8knaden melder inn planlagt prosjekt hvor tittel (evt forel\u00f8pig tittel) og navn p\u00e5 PI oppgis. 3.      I tr\u00e5d med vertskapsavtalen mellom UiB og Helse Bergen, og i tr\u00e5d med Stiftelsen KG Jebsen sine retningslinjer, gjelder at prosjektene skal forankres der PI har sin hovedstilling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.      Prekvalifiseringss\u00f8knader som ikke bruker oppgitt mal eller som mangler vedlegg, eller som kommer inn etter fristen, vil ikke bli vurdert<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.      S\u00f8knadene som har kommet inn i prekvalifiseringsrunden vil bli evaluert av et felles eksternt panel i perioden 4-26. mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.      Informasjon om hvilke prosjekter som g\u00e5r videre til andre runde, dvs til full s\u00f8knad til stiftelsen, vil bli annonsert s\u00e5 snart som mulig etter 26. mars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.      8. mai 2025 (12:00):<\/strong> Endelig s\u00f8knadsfrist til stiftelsen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KG Jebsen Foundation has announced a new call<\/a> for Centers for Medical Research (application deadline: May 8, 2025, at 12:00). <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foundation has stated that two new centers will be established in this round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the foundation’s regulations, the Western Region of Norway \u2013 UiB and HUS \u2013 may submit together four applications to the foundation. Consequently, a prequalification round is required to select the four initiatives that will be invited to submit full applications. In collaboration with HUS, the faculty has developed a template for the prequalification round, which all applicants are required to use (attached). The application template is based on the one used by the foundation, which you can find in the announcement<\/a>. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review all information available on the foundation’s website when preparing their prequalification draft. It should be noted that the call pertains to translational research. Further information on how the foundation defines «translational» can be found in the announcement text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For projects where the faculty is the project owner, and at least 70% of the allocated funds are accounted for by the faculty, the faculty will provide support in the form of two PhD positions (2 x 3 years).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants must adhere to the following deadlines throughout the process (individual departments\/divisions may set additional deadlines):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. February 10, 2025<\/strong>: The coordinator (PI) of the application must register the planned project, including the project title (or preliminary title) and the name of the PI. This registration is mandatory. Register via this link: https:\/\/forms.office.com\/e\/pE3ArwmFqL<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. March 3, 2025 (12:00)<\/strong>: Deadline for the prequalification application, which must be completed according to the provided template (see attachment). Submit via email to: 9c0e1231.UniversityofBergen.onmicrosoft.com@emea.teams.ms<\/a>, with a copy to: forskning@helse-bergen.no<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. In accordance with the hosting agreement between UiB and Helse Bergen, as well as the guidelines of the KG Jebsen Foundation, projects must be anchored at the institution where the PI holds their primary position.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Prequalification applications that do not use the specified template, are missing attachments, or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. The prequalification applications will be evaluated by a joint external panel between March 4 and March 26, 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Information regarding which projects will proceed to the second round (i.e., full applications to the foundation) will be announced as soon as possible after March 26, 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. May 8, 2025 (12:00)<\/strong>: Final application deadline for the foundation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
