    Are you missing a forum to discuss with other PhD and Post-Docs across faculties? Are you missing social activities to meet other PhDs\/Post-Docs?
    \nAre you aware of your rights and responsibilities as a temporary employee? Do you know whom to contact with questions regarding your contract?
    \nWould you like to attend seminars and courses to further develop academically and scientifically (topics such as; career development, open access and open science, Ph.D. with kids, equality policies)?<\/p>\n

    We wish to establish a local interest organisation for all PhD students and Post Docs (including young researchers with temporary positions) at UiB. We are getting help from The Association of Doctoral Organisations in Norway (SiN, http:\/\/stipendiat.no\/<\/a>) and their local affiliations at universities across Norway.<\/p>\n

    We need you to show your interest for the existence of such an organisation. You do that by becoming a member of the facebook group: \u201cPhD students and Post-Docs at UiB\u201d (https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/116433559065620\/?ref=bookmarks<\/a>). If you do not have a facebook account, or you do not wish to join this group, but you are still interested in learning more; contact mailto:Ronja.hesthammer@uib.no<\/a>\u2013 and she will forward you information by email.

    \nPlease join our information meeting October 9th<\/strong>, where representatives from SiN and the other local organisations will share information about how they work at other universities and what they picture we can do here at UiB.

    \nInvitation to Helsinki Life Science Day<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    Fellow NorDoc Graduate Students,
    \nWe are happy to invite you to the first ever Helsinki Life Science Day, organized by graduate students of Doctoral School in Health Sciences in University of Helsinki.
    \nThis year the Helsinki Life Science Day will take place on November 9th. The morning session will be held at Viikki Campus in Helsinki. Prof. Velia Fowler (Scripps Institute, La Jolla, USA) will present the keynote lecture, and Juuso Parkkinen (Reaktor, Finland) will share his wisdom and tell us how to maximize our impact and use the skills we learn during our PhD to change the world. Students will have a chance to present their work with either oral presentations or posters.
