You are hereby invited\u00a0to\u00a0present your work\u00a0to\u00a0fellow researchers and the general audience at the 13th Annual\u00a0Research\u00a0Presentations arranged by the\u00a0Research\u00a0School in Clinical Medicine 23rd-25th January 2019.<\/p>\n<p>If you have presented a poster or had an oral presentation at a scientific meeting or a conference in 2018, you are welcome\u00a0to\u00a0present your work at our conference. You can submit one contribution \u2013 either a poster or an oral presentation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Poster presentation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 Each poster presenter give a short presentation of the poster\u00a0to\u00a0a scientific committee (around 3 minutes including questions from the scientific committee).<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Posters should be submitted as PDF files. Please check the quality thoroughly before you submit your poster. We will print out the posters on a poster banner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Oral\u00a0presentations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a010 minutes for each oral presentation + 5 minutes for discussion.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Please send us your PowerPoint presentation through e-mail before the event<\/li>\n<li>Oral\u00a0presentations\u00a0held at meetings in 2018 can be presented in their original form, but given that the audience will be a general medical one, it may be wise\u00a0to\u00a0include some additional background information.<\/li>\n<li>Note: Due\u00a0to\u00a0time limitations, there will be a limit of 20 oral\u00a0presentations. Only the first 20\u00a0to\u00a0submit their oral\u00a0presentations\u00a0will be able\u00a0to\u00a0participate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prizes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A scientific committee appointed by the\u00a0Research\u00a0School will evaluate all\u00a0presentations\u00a0held by PhD students and postdocs. Prizes will be awarded\u00a0to\u00a0the best posters\/presentations. Building on last years success, we will also this year have a \u201cPeople\u2019s Choice Award\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Send abstract (if oral\u00a0presentations) or abstract+poster (if poster presentation)\u00a0to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:forskningspresentasjoner.forskerskolen@uib.no\">forskningspresentasjoner.forskerskolen@uib.no<\/a>. Abstact should be possible\u00a0to\u00a0open with Microsoft Word and posters should be sent as PDF. NB: Mark the file(s) and your mail\u2019s subject with your name, the affiliation you have (K1, K2 or Helse-Bergen) and if you are a PhD student or postdoc\/researcher. Specify whether you want\u00a0to\u00a0have an oral or poster presentation. As in previous years, we would like\u00a0to\u00a0have a short Norwegian summary which is easy\u00a0to\u00a0understand for the general audience (typically 5 sentences long in a Word document).<\/p>\n<p>If you have questions,\u00a0do\u00a0not hesitate\u00a0to\u00a0contact us through the e-mail address provided above.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for submission: 1st of December 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>PhD course MBI-8008: \u201cMolecular and Clinical Aspects of Cance&raquo;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The course will take place at the University of Troms\u00f8 in weeks 11 and 12 of next year (March 11<sup>th<\/sup> to March 22<sup>nd<\/sup>, 2019).
