{"id":8440,"date":"2018-12-21T11:28:02","date_gmt":"2018-12-21T10:28:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/k1nytt.w.uib.no\/?p=8440"},"modified":"2018-12-21T11:28:02","modified_gmt":"2018-12-21T10:28:02","slug":"pre-call-announcement-from-the-eu-joint-programme-neurodegenerative-disease-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/k1nytt.w.uib.no\/en\/2018\/12\/21\/pre-call-announcement-from-the-eu-joint-programme-neurodegenerative-disease-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Pre-call Announcement from The EU Joint Programme \u2013 Neurodegenerative Disease Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The EU Joint Programme on Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) has published preliminary information on the call for &#8216;Multinational research projects on Personalised Medicine for Neurodegenerative Diseases&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>More than \u20ac30 million has already been earmarked by JPND member countries and the European Commission for this action. This will be a two-stage call, most likely with a pre-proposal submission deadline in March 2019. Further details, including countries participating in the call, will be provided with the launch of the call expected to take place in early January 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The call will focus on Precision Medicine in the following research areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diagnosis (e.g. biomarkers, imaging data, omics approaches, big data analyses)<\/li>\n<li>Prevention (e.g. biomarkers for studying novel treatments and interventions, co-morbidities, digital technologies, stratification within cohort studies and clinical trials)<\/li>\n<li>Care (e.g. improvement of social and health care systems, molecular profiling, imaging, lifestyle data);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following neurodegenerative diseases will be included in the call:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alzheimer&#8217;s disease and other dementias<\/li>\n<li>Parkinson&#8217;s disease and PD\u2010related disorders<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Prion diseases<\/li>\n<li>Motor neuron diseases<\/li>\n<li>Huntington&#8217;s disease<\/li>\n<li>Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA)<\/li>\n<li>Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Further information can be found at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neurodegenerationresearch.eu\/initiatives\/annual-calls-for-proposals\/open-calls\/personalised-medicine-2019\/\">JPI website<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8470\" src=\"http:\/\/k1nytt.w.uib.no\/files\/2018\/12\/JPNDlogo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"359\" height=\"193\" \/><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EU Joint Programme on Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) has published preliminary information on the call for &#8216;Multinational research projects on Personalised Medicine for Neurodegenerative Diseases&#8217;.
