All PhD candidates at the University of Bergen must complete semester registration in Studentweb. The registration requirement applies regardless of employment status or location. The deadline is 1 September. Candidates who have already registered or submitted their thesis for evaluation are exempt.
All PhD candidates at the University of Bergen must complete semester registration in Studentweb by 1 September. The requirement applies to all active PhD candidates, regardless of whether they are employed at UiB or elsewhere, and whether they are currently in Norway or abroad.

Semester registration is mandatory for all active PhD candidates. To register, log in to Studentweb and complete the registration process before the deadline.

Exceptions
You do not need to register if:
- You have already completed your semester registration.
- You have submitted your thesis for evaluation for the PhD degree.
