Behind every successful researcher, there is often a partner navigating their own career journey. When moving to a new country, partners and spouses frequently face challenges related to finding meaningful work, understanding the labor market, and adapting to a new professional culture.
To support this important but often overlooked group, the International Center at UiB (Euraxess Office) and the UiB Ferd Career Center for Early-Stage Researchers are jointly organizing a career workshop for accompanying partners and spouses of international researchers.
About the workshop
This workshop focuses on dual careers and offers practical guidance for partners who want to better understand how working life in Norway functions. Participants will receive advice and tools to help them:
- understand the Norwegian labor market
- build and use professional networks
- tailor CVs and job applications for Norwegian employers
- “crack the Norwegian code” – both culturally and professionally
Whether you are new to Norway yourself or supporting someone who is, this workshop is designed to empower, inform, and connect.
