The Research Fund for Asthma and Allergy aims to promote research in the asthma and allergy sectors. In 2017, the fund will award NOK 500,000 to research projects and pilot projects. Criteria for application: 1) Promote research in the asthma and allergy sectors 2) Projects with focus on children will have some priority 3) Maximum application amount is NOK 150 000.

The Olav Thon Foundation – support for Nordic research projects in medicine 2018 supports research projects that have focus on either 1) mechanisms of antibiotic resistance or 2) development of new antibiotics or 3) strategies to combat antibiotic resistance.

Upcoming call Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) The agreement between UiB and CAS gives researchers with a permanent scientific position an opportunity to apply for their own research group for a one-year stay at the center. They choose their own theme and specialization, and invite researchers from all over the world to participate in the project.
