Viser til tidligere utsendt informasjon om innføring av tofaktor-pålogging ved UiB. Vi har fått beskjed fra IT-avdelingen at det er mange K1-ansatte som ikke har fullført aktiveringen av tofaktor-pålogging.
Årsaken til at du må gjøre dette er at i løpet av mars vil UiB kreve tofaktor-pålogging på flere tjenester – blant annet VPN. Det betyr at om du ikke har fullført aktiveringen av tofaktor-pålogging vil du ikke kunne benytte deg av tjenestene som krever VPN. Samtidig vil UiB kreve tofaktor-pålogging for stadig flere tjenester fremover.
IT-avdelingen sier også at det er en stor sikkerhetsrisiko for UiB å ha aktive brukerkontoer som ikke har tofaktor-pålogging aktivert. Derfor må du aktivere tofaktor så snart som mulig.

With reference to previous sent information about implementing of two factor authentication at the University of Bergen.
It has come to our attention from the IT-Department that many of you at K1 have not completed the activation of two factor authentication. We kindly ask that you do this as soon as possible.

During March, the University of Bergen will make two factor authentication compulsory for many of the IT-services, such as VPN. If you do not activate the authentication within the end of March, you will not be able to use any IT-services which are dependent on using VPN. UiB will also expand the use of two factor authentication on a larger number of IT-services during the coming months.
It is also unfortunately a huge security risk for the University of Bergen having user accounts that do not use two factor authentication. Therefore, as mentioned earlier, we kindly ask you to finish the activation as soon as possible.
